Happy New Year from the Emerson PTA!

As we kick off the new year, the Emerson PTA would like to express our gratitude for being part of such an inclusive, supportive, and engaged school community.

Looking ahead, there are many ways to get involved in the months to come—join the Auction Committee, attend PTA meetings, and volunteer at the Bike Swap. Whether you have a little time or a lot, your involvement truly makes a difference.

Thank you for all you do to support our students, staff, and school. We’re excited for what the new year brings and look forward to working together to make it a great one for Emerson!

 Thank You, Hospitality Committee & Volunteers! 

A huge thank you to our incredible Hospitality Committee and volunteers for hosting such a wonderful Emerson and DaVinci staff breakfast on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. The morning was festive, thoughtful, and truly showed how much our staff is appreciated.

Highlights included:

• Beautiful hand-painted windows and décor that set a cheerful tone

• A cozy Oatmeal Bar

• Peet’s Coffee to keep everyone fueled

• Panera sandwiches, Fluffy’s donuts, and Noah’s Bagels

• And countless homemade treats generously dropped off by parents.

We are so grateful to everyone who donated food, decorated, helped set up, or volunteered their time to make this event such a success. Your generosity and creativity made the morning extra special for our staff.

 Donate a Bike. Support Our School. 

Did your family welcome a new bike this holiday season? If you have a gently used bike still in good riding condition, consider saving it to donate on behalf of our school to the 13th Annual Chavez Bike Swap in April 2026.

The Chavez Bike Swap is a fundraiser benefiting ALL participating Davis schools, and bike donations are tax deductible. Even better—participating schools earn 75% of the sales price of bikes donated in their name. At the 2025 Bike Swap, more than $1,800 was paid out to participating schools!

 Bike Swap Dates: Saturday–Sunday, April 11–12, 2026

To participate, each school must have at least one adult volunteer cover one shift during the Bike Swap weekend. The volunteer sign-up schedule will be available in late January 2026.

¡Feliz Año Nuevo del PTA de Emerson!

Al comenzar el nuevo año, el PTA de Emerson desea expresar su gratitud por ser parte de una comunidad escolar tan inclusiva, solidaria y comprometida.

De cara a los próximos meses, hay muchas maneras de participar: unirse al Comité de la Subasta, asistir a las reuniones del PTA y ser voluntario en el Bike Swap. Sin importar cuánto tiempo tenga disponible, su participación realmente marca la diferencia.

Gracias por todo lo que hacen para apoyar a nuestros estudiantes, personal y escuela. ¡Estamos entusiasmados por lo que traerá el nuevo año y esperamos seguir trabajando juntos para que sea un gran año para Emerson!

 ¡Gracias, Comité de Hospitalidad y Voluntarios! 

Un enorme agradecimiento a nuestro increíble Comité de Hospitalidad y voluntarios por organizar un desayuno tan maravilloso para el personal de Emerson y DaVinci el miércoles 17 de diciembre de 2025. La mañana fue festiva, atenta y demostró claramente cuánto se aprecia a nuestro personal.

Algunos de los momentos destacados incluyeron:

• Hermosas ventanas y decoraciones pintadas a mano que crearon un ambiente alegre

• Un acogedor Bar de Avena

• Café Peet’s para mantener la energía

• Sándwiches de Panera, donas de Fluffy’s y bagels de Noah’s

• Y muchísimos postres caseros donados generosamente por padres de familia

Estamos muy agradecidos con todos los que donaron comida, decoraron, ayudaron con la preparación o ofrecieron su tiempo como voluntarios para que este evento fuera un éxito. Su generosidad y creatividad hicieron que la mañana fuera muy especial para nuestro personal.

 Done una Bicicleta. Apoye a Nuestra Escuela. 

¿Su familia recibió una bicicleta nueva durante las fiestas? Si tiene una bicicleta usada en buen estado, considere guardarla para donarla en nombre de nuestra escuela al 13.º Chavez Bike Swap Anual en abril de 2026.

El Chavez Bike Swap es una recaudación de fondos que beneficia a todas las escuelas participantes de Davis, y las donaciones de bicicletas son deducibles de impuestos. Aún mejor: las escuelas participantes reciben el 75 % del precio de venta de las bicicletas donadas a su nombre. En el Bike Swap de 2025, ¡se distribuyeron más de $1,800 entre las escuelas participantes!
