PTA Teacher Grant Funding at Work

Thanks to the generosity of our Emerson families, the PTA awarded $7,041 in Teacher Grants, with $6,383 already spent on classroom materials and resources students are using right now. These grants support immediate needs across departments and directly enhance learning experiences.

• Physical Education received the largest investment at approximately $4,300, funding the purchase of 15 archery targets to support skill development and active participation.

• Languages & World Languages (Spanish) received approximately $1,100, which funded classroom subscriptions (including Sr. Wooly) and additional instructional supplies to strengthen language learning.

• English, Performing Arts & Leadership classrooms received approximately $1,000, supporting the purchase of headphones, classroom technology accessories, storage bins, a megaphone, an office chair for collaborative teaching, and various instructional supplies.

• Counseling Services received approximately $450, which supported professional memberships (ASCA and CASC) that help counselors stay current on best practices in student wellness and support services.

• Science received approximately $150, helping replace a broken balance for lab work so classes can work in small groups, along with the purchase of a Bill Nye science DVD.

• Special Education received approximately $150, funding headphones for Study Skills students to support focus and individualized learning.

 

These Teacher Grants ensure that PTA funds are spent quickly and thoughtfully on real classroom needs, making an immediate impact on students and staff. Thank you for supporting Emerson!
