ABOUT EMERSON PTA
The Emerson Junior High PTA enriches our school learning environment by supporting each child’s education. We raise funds for annual teacher grants and school activities that benefit all students on our campus. During the 2024-25 school year we awarded $9,600 in grants for purchases such as:

Choir and Band Equipment

Spanish Books

Library Furniture and Books

Software for English and Spanish classes

Improvement to outdoor leaning spaces

We also provide hospitality for the staff throughout the year and host the 9th grade send off ceremony.

As we navigate this year we invite all of you to join us as members and to join us at meetings. To help your child’s school community continue to thrive, we need YOU, our extraordinary parents and guardians to get involved and give what you can. Everything we raise is used THIS YEAR to benefit your students and their classes.

PTA meetings are the 3rd Monday of the month at
6pm in the Emerson Library and online.
Open Positions for the 25-26 School Year. Join Our Team!
Communications Officer (4 hours/mo.)
Keeps families informed through bi-weekly email newsletters, manages the PTA listserv, and oversees social media accounts to promote events and engagement.

Website Officer (<1 hour/mo.)
Maintains and updates the PTA’s WIX website, uploads meeting minutes and agendas, and keeps the calendar current.

Fundraising Chair
Plans and manages fundraising events and activities, solicits donations, and works to meet the PTA’s financial goals.
​​
Membership Chair (<1 hour/mo.)
Manages PTA membership through TOTEM and serves as a liaison between members and the board, helping to build and maintain a strong, engaged membership community.
