PTA Teacher Grants at Work!
Thanks to your support, the Emerson PTA approved over $7,000 in teacher grant requests this fall — providing classroom tools, technology, and resources that directly benefit our students!
Here’s a glimpse of what your donations made possible:
Special Education – Headphones to help students focus during study skills.
PE – Fifteen new archery targets for PE.
Languages – Classroom subscriptions to Sr. Wooly, Roxxem, and other engaging Spanish learning tools.
Counseling – Professional memberships to support staff development and student wellness.
Science – A new classroom balance and learning materials to replace worn-out equipment.
English – Headphones, ergonomic mice, and storage bins to enhance accessibility and organization.
Leadership – A new megaphone, classroom furniture, and supplies to power school spirit and teamwork!

Community Corner
Announcement from Noa, Jakey, Cate & Yoni Dayan:
Yolo Crisis Nursery is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children under 6 years old in not so good conditions like neglect and abuse. The nursery also provides help for parents in need. Yolo Crisis Nursery is located in Woodland, however the exact location often changes to keep the children they care for safe. Yolo Crisis Nursery needs our help, so they can continue to help the babies and parents that depend on them.
How you can HELP:
We will be collecting much needed items for the nursery in Collection boxes in the Emerson school office until December 1. Please consider helping with this important work! Together, we can make BIG change for these little people!
What to DONATE:
● Diapers and pull-ups – size 4,6,7
● Summer clothes – size 2T-5T (non-stained, decent condition)
● Girls and boys NEW underwear – size 2T-6
● Shoes – size 4-12 (no newborn/infant shoes needed)
● Baby shampoo, lotion, and body wash
● Shampoo and conditioner for textured hair
● Blankets
● New bottles
