We Need a PTA Treasurer
We currently have an important opening on our PTA Board for a Treasurer. If you’re interested and willing to help, please reply to this email or email bleymaster@gmail.com directly. This is an essential role that helps keep our PTA running and allows us to continue supporting Emerson students and teachers.
Join the PTA — Help Us Reach 90 Members!We’re looking to grow our membership to 90 members this year. Membership is only $15 and one of the easiest ways to support Emerson and have a voice in our school community.
Start the Year Strong — Donate to Emerson PTA
We’re also kicking off the school year with our annual fundraising campaign. If your family is able, we’re asking for a $150 donation, but any amount is appreciated and makes a difference.
Your donations directly support Emerson students and teachers. This year, our PTA plans to provide approximately $15,000 in teacher grants throughout the school year. Raising funds early helps us make those grants available to teachers when they need them.

Community Corner
We’re starting the year with two great community highlights:
Hope Café — A Community Gathering
Presented by International House Davis, Hope Café is part workshop, part party, an evening of live music, creative activities, and meaningful conversations designed to help people pause, reconnect, and feel like they belong. It's led by artist-in-residence Jesikah Maria Ross, with snacks and drinks from local vendors and music and art from local artists.

Emerson Students Featured in The Davis Enterprise
A handful of incredibly talented ninth graders led by Raegan Mallow and Ms. Hannon-Korynta recently painted the benches in the D Wing at Emerson, creating amazing artwork inspired by science. Their creativity and initiative are helping make our school a more vibrant and welcoming place—and their work was even featured in The Davis Enterprise!
We’re so proud of these students for stepping up, sharing their talents, and finding a creative way to improve our school.
