Emerson PTA Teacher Grants: Making a Difference in Our Classrooms

Thanks to the support of our Emerson community, the PTA is funding nearly $10,000 in teacher grants to provide educators with the resources, equipment, and instructional materials they need to help our students thrive.
This round of grants supports a wide range of departments and programs, from classroom essentials to specialized equipment and professional development.
Here's what we're funding:
Classroom Technology & Supplies: Graphing calculators and chargers for math, Chromebook chargers, a color printer, printer toner, a document camera replacement cord, a front-office paper cutter, sticky notes, index cards, dry-erase boards, markers, and classroom wobble stools.
Books & Curriculum Resources: Classroom novels, seventh-grade immersion social studies books, language-learning subscriptions, instructional videos, and supplemental teaching resources.
Science & Agriculture: Biology lab equipment to support hands-on learning and science instruction.
Physical Education: Additional disc golf baskets to complete a nine-basket course for students.
Drama & Performing Arts: Funding for production royalties and performance rights, with additional funds supporting set design and paint.
Professional Development: Conference registration for science and social studies teachers, along with professional society memberships supporting educators in counseling and world languages.
School Operations & Student Programs: An administrative subscription to Final Forms, an outdoor storage shed, and other resources to support teaching and learning across campus.
These grants reflect the real needs identified by our teachers. From everyday classroom supplies to specialized equipment and enriching learning experiences, every investment helps create more opportunities for Emerson students.

Our teachers asked, and our community is answering. Thank you to everyone who supports Emerson PTA and helps us provide resources that benefit students across our school. Together, we're helping our Eagles learn, grow, and thrive!
Even with a substantial portion of our budget dedicated to supporting teachers, the requests exceeded our funding by $6,000. We need a little extra help to make it happen! With the support of our Emerson families, we hope to close that gap, fund as many requests as possible, and give our teachers the resources they need to help our students thrive.
Here are the items still needing funding:
Athletics Uniforms — New uniforms to replace aging, mismatched jerseys and ensure our Eagles can represent Emerson with a consistent team look.
Archery Equipment — Replacement compound bows for Emerson's archery program. Our current bows are approximately 15 years old and increasingly breaking down. Emerson is the only junior high in the district offering archery, and we want to keep this unique opportunity available to our students.
World Languages Books — A class set of 36 copies of Llama en Lima to support language learning and classroom instruction.
Leadership Supplies — Essential supplies for student leadership activities, including materials for signs and cleaning for school activities like dances and rallies.
Our additional fundraising goal is $6,000.
